City Manager/CAO - City of Lloydminster

Lloydminster, Canada's only Border City is a bustling community of approximately 26,500 people. Serving a trade area of 150,000 strong, Lloydminster boasts the amenities of a larger centre while maintaining the comforts and atmosphere of a much smaller community. Some of our amenities include a state of the art recreational centre, museum, theatre, shopping, numerous parks and arenas, schools and Lakeland College. We are close to all types of outdoor recreation activities, and are strategically located between Edmonton and Saskatoon.

Motivating and momentum, building high engagement leadership that utilizes a well defined strategic planning framework that drives a progressive workplace and service culture, with clear benchmarks and comprehensive communication practices are required to achieve the shared VISION for the City of Lloydminster.

Under the direction of Council, the City Manager/CAO will be a trusted leader working with the management team to direct the overall planning and coordination of all City operations consistent with policies. This will ensure the delivery of high quality services to the residents of the City of Lloydminster.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a thorough working knowledge of municipal government or equivalent senior business leadership experience, track record of successful delivery of large scale high profile capital projects, extensive hands-on leadership of annual strategic planning, operating and capital budget development, and the proven ability to build relationships with community partners and all levels of government. This position will establish organizational structure and administration that is necessary for the safe, efficient and economic operation of the City.
