The City of New Westminster, Parks, Culture & Recreation currently requires energetic, self motivated, team players to join our team of auxiliary fitness instructors.

Our classes/programs are designed to provide an excellent all-around workout in a relaxing atmosphere. This opportunity requires upbeat and responsible individuals to lead classes. You will be working with people of various age groups and skill levels. Candidates must have strong affinity for customer services and exceptional communication skills.

We are currently looking for BCRPA Group Fitness or equivalent instructors that are able to teach the following classes:

• Osteo-Fit
• Seniors Fitness
• Yoga
• Pilates



 

Requirements

Successful candidates will be a BCRPA Registered Fitness Instructor or equivalent with a current CPR and First Aid Certificate. Additional training or certification in 3rd age, Osteofit, Yoga or pre and post natal is an asset. Please note that the qualified candidates must be available during the weekends, weekdays and evenings.
 

Salary & Benefits

This position offers a starting hourly rate of $40.92 plus 12% in lieu of benefits.

We are looking for individuals with the ability to motivate others to help achieve their health goals. If you have strong interpersonal skills and have the necessary experience and training we encourage you to apply. A criminal record check is required to be completed.
