Description

Your strong administrative and organizational skills provide the basis to support the diverse and complex areas of employee pension and benefits.

You will work closely with many stakeholders including employees, the Compensation and Benefits teams, service providers, divisional Human Resource representatives and other corporate service groups such as Recruiting, HRIS and Payroll. Attention to detail, accuracy, a strong customer service focus and the ability to multi-task while handling competing priorities will help you succeed.

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Supporting the day-to-day and ongoing administration of the pension and benefits programs and the compensation programs;
  • Supporting the design and delivery of various annual programs (pension, benefits enrolment, salary and incentive programs);
  • Supporting the development and implementation of benefits and pension communication initiatives. This includes the coordination of employee information sessions (e.g. new hire orientations, program launch sessions, employee financial education seminars, etc);
  • Supporting the new hire process with respect to compensation and benefit programs;
  • Supporting ongoing and one-off projects and initiatives as required. These will vary in size, scope and duration and may be individual or team based;
  • Responding to employee queries and issues.


A criminal record check will be required for those shortlisted in this competition.

 
Requirements

Ideally, you will have the following requirements:

  • Diploma/certificate in a related field. Other similar or transferable skills and experience will also be considered;
  • 3-4 years experience with a strong administrative background. Ability to deal with confidential material in a manner demonstrating sound judgment;
  • Must display an attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines;
  • Good oral communication skills.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, or similar HRIS applications, is considered an asset;
  • Ability to effectively work with minimal supervision.
