Description

The City of Surrey's RCMP Surrey Detachment currently has an auxiliary opportunity for a Victim Services Caseworker. The successful applicant will provide crisis response to victims of crime, trauma and witnesses along with ongoing emotional support, judicial information, limited practical assistance, and referrals to other community or social service agencies. While working under the supervision of the Manager Intervention Programs and the Operations Officer Surrey Detachment.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have completed grade 12 supplemented by a post-secondary diploma or degree in a social services field with a minimum of two years directly related victim services/crisis intervention experience. A valid BC driver’s license with a safe driving history is required. This position requires applicants to obtain a RCMP Reliability Security Clearance.
