The City of Kingston welcomes applications for Rideaucrest Home, which is a 170 bed facility. Rideaucrest is a Long-Term Care non-profit Municipal Home located in historic downtown Kingston. The home provides care to individuals whose needs can no longer be met in the community.
POSITION SUMMARY
- Coordinate and deliver complex care to seniors;
- Ensure that all residents are administered proper nursing care and determine the appropriate level of care;
- Coordinating and ensuring an effective communication system promoting team unity, thereby enhancing the resident’s quality of life;
- Focus is on decision making, analysis, critical thinking, and leadership within the team; and
- Assume direction of the Home during evening, night and weekend shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES
- Current Ontario College of Nurses’ Certificate of Competence
- Bachelor in Nursing Science (BNSc)
- Three years of general nursing experience
- Good physical condition
- Satisfactory CPIC (Criminal Police Check) at your own expense
- Must demonstrate corporate competencies: Customer Focus, Results Orientation, Integrity, and Teamwork.
SKILLS, ABILITIES, WORK DEMANDS
- Membership in GNA
- Certification in Gerontology
- Long Term Care facility experience
- Supervisory experience

$26.80 to 38.74 per hour
