Description

The City of Kingston welcomes applications for Rideaucrest Home, which is a 170 bed facility. Rideaucrest is a Long-Term Care non-profit Municipal Home located in historic downtown Kingston. The home provides care to individuals whose needs can no longer be met in the community.

POSITION SUMMARY

  • Coordinate and deliver complex care to seniors;
  • Ensure that all residents are administered proper nursing care and determine the appropriate level of care;
  • Coordinating and ensuring an effective communication system promoting team unity, thereby enhancing the resident’s quality of life;
  • Focus is on decision making, analysis, critical thinking, and leadership within the team; and
  • Assume direction of the Home during evening, night and weekend shifts.


 
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES

  • Current Ontario College of Nurses’ Certificate of Competence
  • Bachelor in Nursing Science (BNSc)
  • Three years of general nursing experience
  • Good physical condition
  • Satisfactory CPIC (Criminal Police Check) at your own expense
  • Must demonstrate corporate competencies: Customer Focus, Results Orientation, Integrity, and Teamwork.


SKILLS, ABILITIES, WORK DEMANDS
  • Membership in GNA
  • Certification in Gerontology
  • Long Term Care facility experience
  • Supervisory experience

 
Salary & Benefits

$26.80 to 38.74 per hour
